Teacher’s Day 2023: Honoring Those Who Shape the Future
On September 5th, 2023, we had a special Teacher’s Day event, organized by the Karuna Sadan Trust, at the Hope Community Centre in Kurla. Teachers from all over Mumbai joined us for this wonderful gathering, where we also had the KSM Band adding musical charm to the evening.
The KSM Band set the tone for the evening.
The event began with Mr. Michael Fernandes, our trustee of Karuna Sadan Trust, welcoming everyone. He introduced our guest of honor, Mrs. Savvy Mendonca, the principal of St. Michael High School in Kurla.
Mrs. Mendonca spoke about how teachers have a long-lasting impact on society, saying that they affect eternity. Her words left a deep impression on us all.

We then celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony, spreading joy and togetherness. It symbolized the importance of education in our lives.

To wrap up the event, we gave each teacher a small gift as an appreciation. These gifts included a pearl set for women & Watch for Men; It was our way of saying thank you for their tireless efforts and dedication to educating and guiding the future of our society.
