Karuna Sadan Trust’s Food distribution drive on world food day

World Food Day, observed on October 16 each year, stands as a powerful reminder of a pressing global issue: hunger. One of the key objectives of World Food Day is to highlight the importance of food security. Food security means that all people, at all times, have access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for an active, healthy life. Unfortunately, millions of individuals still suffer from chronic hunger and malnutrition, which have profound effects on their health and well-being.

In alignment with the spirit of the day, volunteers from the Karuna Sadan Trust took a step to help the needy. They selflessly distributed food packets to those who needed it most, embodying the very principles of World Food Day.

As the day ended, we felt a sense of fulfilment, knowing that our small acts of kindness made the world a bit better. World Food Day reminds us that simple acts of kindness can have a big impact on people’s lives. Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a huge difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver as well.

Food is more than a meal; it’s a lifeline, a source of strength, and a bridge to a better tomorrow, reminding us of the power of nourishment – Mr. Michael Fernandes (Trustee)

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our partners and donors, with a special mention of Mrs. Anita Shetty, whose invaluable assistance contributed to the success of this food drive. Your support is the driving force behind the positive change we aim to bring to the world. Let’s persist in spreading kindness and hope, as they hold the power to shape a brighter future for everyone. Consider donating to make a lasting difference.
