Career Guidance Seminar- Feb 2026

On 14th February 2026, Karuna Sadan Trust hosted a Career Guidance Evening at Oasis, Kurla West — bringing together enthusiastic young men and women from different backgrounds for an evening of warmth, real talk, and inspiration.

Volunteers were on hand from the start, welcoming each attendee with a smile and managing registrations smoothly. From the moment participants walked through the door, the message was clear:

you are seen, you are expected, and you belong here.

Warm-Up & Icebreakers

Before the keynotes, a series of fun activities broke the ice and dissolved the nerves. Laughter filled the room as strangers became friends – creating the openness needed for the conversations that followed.

Mr. Michael Fernandes – Building Your Story

The first keynote came from Mr. Michael Fernandes — Trustee of Karuna Sadan Trust — who took the stage with a calm, grounded energy. Drawing from his own professional journey, he spoke about the realities of building a career – the uncertainties, the pivots, and the moments that define you. He reminded the youth that a career isn’t just a job title; it is the story you build, one deliberate choice at a time. His words landed with honesty and warmth, and you could feel the room lean in.

Mr. Aaron [MBA – Data Analytics] – Owning Your Digital Life

Building on that foundation, Mr. Aaron brought a sharp, energetic perspective on the world every young person knows intimately – the digital world. He spoke candidly about the opportunities and the pitfalls that come with living life online, and challenged the youth to be intentional about how they show up in digital spaces. His session was equal parts motivating and thought-provoking.

“The digital world is not the future – it is the present. Every skill you learn online is either building your story or distracting you from it. Choose to be the author of your own digital life, not just a character in someone else’s feed.” – Mr. Aaron, Career Guidance Evening 2026

Closing with Community: Dinner

The evening closed with dinner served to all attendees. Conversations flowed freely, new friendships were formed, and the sense of community that defines Karuna Sadan Trust was felt in every corner of the room.

.We are deeply grateful to our generous donors whose support made this event possible, to our dedicated volunteers who gave their time without hesitation. Most of all, thank you to every young person who walked through those doors with an open heart. You are the reason Karuna Sadan Trust does this work – and evenings like this remind us exactly why it matters.
