Food Distribution Drive- Jan 2026

At Karuna Sadan Trust, we believe that compassion is not just a feeling; it is an action. On January 13, 2026, our volunteers carried that belief to the streets of Kurla West, Mumbai, conducting a Food Distribution Drive for the homeless, destitute, and underprivileged members of the community.

About the Drive

The drive was held outside Holy Cross Church, Kurla West, a location that sees a large number of vulnerable individuals on a daily basis. Our team distributed Nutritious home-cooked Dal Khichdi, fresh bananas and laddoos to dozens of beneficiaries including elderly men and women, daily wage workers, and homeless individuals who often go without a proper meal.

Volunteers arrived early in the morning, organized the supplies, and ensured that every individual who came forward was attended to with dignity, warmth, and care. The response from the community was heartening, with a steady line of beneficiaries reflecting the genuine need for such outreach initiatives in urban areas.

Impact on the Ground

Food insecurity in urban pockets like Kurla remains a significant challenge. Through drives like this one, Karuna Sadan Trust aims to provide immediate nutritional relief while reinforcing the message that every human being deserves to be seen, acknowledged, and cared for.

This drive is part of our ongoing commitment to serve the marginalized communities of Mumbai through regular outreach programs focused on food, health, and dignity
