Why Education sector?

The most effective means of changing the world and escaping the cycle of poverty are both achieved via education. Over two crore youngsters in India are still not attending school despite 70 years of independence (NSS-2014). These kids lose not only their right to an education, but also their opportunity to work as youngsters in order to support themselves.

Karuna Sadan Trust aims to make an impact on the education sector for kids

Through the Right to Education Act of 2009, the government has made progress in enrolling and keeping students in school, particularly those from the disadvantaged sector. More than 60% of kids left school before finishing third grade, according to the National Survey for Estimation of Out-of-School Children performed in 2014, and about 50% of pupils left school by the 11th grade, per the Institute for Policy Research Studies (PRS). The Right to Education Act has yet to be properly implemented in light of these startling statistics.
