Sharing Food and Smiles on A Rosy Day
Something wonderful happened on January 11th! It was A Rosy Day, when kind hearts came together to share delicious meals with our community. Just like roses bring beauty to a garden, this special day brings happiness to people through the magic of food.
The sun wasn’t fully up when our excited volunteers arrived at Hamsunder Orphanage in Andheri. They started the day by serving hot, yummy breakfast to the children who live there. The kids’ bright smiles made everyone’s morning even more special!
Then, our team of helpers moved near Holy Cross in Kurla, where more and more people lined up, waiting eagerly for their lunch. But this wasn’t just any ordinary lunch – it came with a sweet surprise! Everyone got to enjoy mouth-watering gulab jamuns (those soft, sweet balls of happiness!) and fresh, yellow bananas. You should have seen the happy faces when people saw these treats!
If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one.
Our helpers didn’t just hand out food – they shared warm smiles, gentle words, and friendly waves with everyone they met. They remembered that sometimes a kind smile can make food taste even better!
